Okay, I must admit that I got super lazy with this banner idea. I knew I had all the supplies needed to construct it but couldn’t find the gumption to actually make this ridiculously easy DIY Valentine’s Day banner. Pretty sad, right?
But alas, I managed to muster the energy to do this super hard (pfft!) project that took all of 30 minutes. What a trooper…
I hand cut burlap into very poor excuses for triangles. I then hand painted even poorer excuses for hearts and let them dry. A stamp or a stencil wouldn’t have killed me, fyi.
I will also admit to letting the dried pieces sit in my craft closet for almost 2 weeks because they were so pathetic. And then I said, “screw it.” Who really cares?
Only me. Duh.
The whole point was to add some extra love for the sake of my kids. Buck up, Whiney Fancy Pants!
And so I used a glue gun to adhere the “triangles” to brown twine and let my 2 1/2 year old tell me where to hang it. Boom.
But now I can’t decide if I like the heart wreath or my G wreath here?
I know your heart aches for me, right? 😉 Happy heart day!
I vote for the heart wreath.
That’s what I finally decided on. 🙂
